Zweifelsohne ist die Debüt-EP von Simon und Piano eine sehr ungewöhnliche Erscheinung. In drei von vier Titeln ist alleinig ein Piano zu hören. Dieser Umstand legt die Kategorisierung als Klassik sehr nahe, jedoch klingen die Nummern von Simon und Piano eher nach einem erwachsen gewordenen Pianopart eines Postrock-Songs. Auf filigrane Melodien folgen hämmernde Rhythmen, die sich schließlich gemeinsam zu Klangtürmen aufbäumen. Ruhige, verträumte Momente gehen in episch wirkende Ausbrüche über und am Ende bleiben viele Fragen offen. Vielleicht werden diese von Simon und Piano in naher Zukunft noch erläutert, oder auch nicht.
